Personal Assistant Training Program for Persons with Disability

Personal Assistant Training Program for Persons with Disability

ActForCare AMKE has been active since 2019. The reason for its creation was the concept of a daily life with equal access for all and the belief that all those who face challenges in their daily life deserve to have the appropriate context and a structured support. It is the first entity to provide privately and exclusively the service of a personal assistant for the disabled and because of this it has made a positive contribution to the regulation of the service.

ActForCare designed the training programme in which the personal assistants of DOMY (Structured Support for the Daily Life of People with Disabilities) and anyone who needs or chooses to support people with disabilities in their daily lives are trained. Since 2019 to date, dozens of personal assistants and families of people with disabilities have been trained. It has worked with agencies both in the area of training personal assistants and in setting up the Personal Assistant Service for the disabled. Her experience in disability issues together with her specialised expertise in accompanying and caring for people with disabilities form the basis of our training programme. In this way we ensure the safety and effectiveness of our services and the quality training of those interested in supporting people with disabilities on the basis of equal inclusion and acceptance.
